Dr. Yomal Amarathunge (MBBS) is a medical doctor, researcher, and digital health innovator based in Sri Lanka. He graduated from the University of Kelaniya and has gained extensive clinical experience working in both government tertiary care centers and leading private hospitals across the country. He has served in roles including Medical Officer and Senior House Officer (SHO).

Dr. Yomal has broad clinical exposure across multiple specialties, including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Accident & Emergency (A&E), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (as SHO), and Paediatrics. This diverse experience enables him to provide well-rounded, practical, and patient-centered care.

In addition to his clinical work, he has been actively involved in medical research, focusing on patient satisfaction, healthcare delivery systems, and improving outpatient services—demonstrating his commitment to advancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare.

He has completed several recognized professional training programs, including Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), a Certificate Course in Infectious Diseases from the University of Peradeniya, and the National Trauma Management Course (NTMC) conducted by the International Association for Trauma Surgery and Intensive Care (IATSIC).
